Terminal Labs to END at UQ

Ok so a little while ago I posted up a flyer for a rally at logan pound, in regards to the logan city pound selling perfectly healthy homeless pets to the University of Queensland for teaching purposes, yesterday I recieved this wonderful email from nonhumanrescue.org, it reads:

Hi, yesterday the DPI Animal Welfare Advisory Committee instructed the University of QLD to cease performing terminal labs asap. This is excellent news for homeless pets and animals in general as UQ was the last University in Australia to continue teaching with an outdated and inhumane method. This means all Vet Schools in Australia now practice humane teaching methods.

Awesome news for the animals, amazing step forward in the right direction, and just a pleasant way to end 2010 and begin 2011. This is the kind of progress we need and should all fight for everyday! And it feels so good to see some progress and change in the endless battle for animal liberation.
